LEGO Legends of Chima Wiki

The Heart of Cavora is the 41st episode of Legends of Chima and the final episode in Season 3, and the final episode in the series.

Plot[]

Lavertus and Lagravis still have their army and the reinforcements the Phoenix defending the Lion Temple and the city and pushing back the Ice Hunters into the Ice Fortress. Maula recommends a retreat, but Sir Fangar insists that reinforcements of their own will arrive. Lagravis notices that something is off, and the tide soon turns as the Ice Bear Tribe arrives with their mechs, which then attack everything in sight and wreck the heroes' vehicles. The Claw Drillers are then used to push the Ice Fortress closer to the Temple, breaching its defenses and entering it whilst Sir Fangar commanded his forces to grab all the Chi to put it into the Heart of the Glacier to make their mountain rise, with the Claw Drillers wrecking more vehicles to buy them extra time. Lagravis was sure that the Blazing Bastion would help them, but the rising Ice Mountain blinded the Blazing Bastion Crew and they collided with it, forcing them to leave it as it crash landed into the forest below as Lavertus and Lagravis watched in horror.

Laval and Cragger arrive at the Rhino Quarry, and Laval still can't believe that his best friend built the Fire Helicroctor.

Cragger reveals that it was it built after the Battle at the Eagle Spire, but it never worked until very recently thanks to the Fire Wing Harness he found at Spiral Mountain with Eris. Tormak and Li'ella appear out of the pit leading to the bottom of the quarry with a rock, which Laval and Cragger recognize as the only rock the Rhinos couldn't break, hence why it was dumped so far below ground. Tormak revealed that it could only be opened with the power of the Phoenix, and then he powered up with the power of the Artifact within him, breaking it and revealing another set of Fire Wings. Laval, Cragger and Tormak recount the ones they found before and where they were:

No. 1 - Eris found it by the Eagle Spires at the ancient Phoenix security system.

No. 2 - Eris helped Cragger claim the one at Spiral Mountain.

No. 3 - Laval found it at the Grand Archway.

No. 4 - Cragger found it at the bottom of Croc Fortress' swamp inside an oyster of some kind.

No. 5 - Tormak found it deep below the massive amounts of junk the Ravens had at Raven Town.

No. 6 - Laval found it within one of the trees within the Sanctuary Forest, having to cut it down to reach it.

Thanks to the one at the Rhino Quarry, Tormak added it with the rest underneath the Fire Helicroctor, meaning that there was only one more left since Eris was still wearing hers. Cragger was hoping that Eris would've found it by now, asking him if he and Li'ella were joining himself and Laval. Tormak informed them that there was something else that required their attention, and as he and his daughter left, he reminded the two young heroes to guard the Fire Wing Harnesses.

As Laval and Cragger are taking the Fire Helicroctor and the other Fire Wing Harnesses to the Forever Rock as it's the location of the last one according to the map, the two of them spot the Ice Mountain's Tower rising up towards Mount Cavora just like in Eris' most recent vision and the Ice Bears using their Claw Drillers to mess their allies up. Cragger reminded Laval to stay on mission despite the latter's initial pleas to turn around and help his city. The former then spots what seems to be reinforcements, and they dive down and see Bladvic and his Tribe travelling to the Lion Temple in Rumble Bears. When Laval asks why Bladvic looks so awake, the latter tells him that the Ice Bears' awakening is messing with him, making him and his whole tribe act with rage and fury, and he also reveals to Cragger that they always had the Rumble Bears and were only now using them due to them being too tired to use them before. Cragger decides to get back on track to travelling to the Forever Rock, and letting the Bears arrive and fight the Ice Bear Tribe to the point of overwhelming them, shocking everyone at the Lion Temple.

The two of them arrive as the sun is setting, and they ask Eris if she's found it, but she tells them that she's been looking for the final Fire Wing Harness at the Forever Rock using her own. Upon resting on the rock with Laval and Cragger's tally marks, it seemingly sets on fire and Eris has a dream-like vision of Fluminox whilst her friends are looking for it themselves. Fluminox, surrounded by the icons of the Fire Wing Harnesses, informs her that "they haven't searched forever". Laval and Cragger help her up once her visions ends, and despite an initial misinterpretation of what she told them, she let them know that they needed to search the Forever Rock itself. Eris reached below the rock she was sitting on and saw a bright glow, grabbing the final Fire Wing Harness. The Eagle asks Laval to roar out to summon their friends from each of the eight main tribes, but the latter insists that she do it instead, and she obliges. Bladvic hears it and tells the Ice Bear in his Rumble Bear's claw that he's needed elsewhere, leaving him stranded as he ran to the Forever Rock, leaving behind the carnage his tribe caused to their arch enemies.

As the Ice Tower neared the Phoenix Temple, Fluminox was smiling whilst meditating at the Well of the Illumination, with his son voicing his concerns, and the former reveals that he's smiling for Eris, as she has "the heart of a Phoenix" and that she would help them launch the Great Illumination once again. Flinx hopes that she helps to trigger it soon. At the Lion Temple, Lagravis and his brother watch as the Ice Tower reaches Mt. Cavora, freezing its falls and stopping the glowing eyes of each head on it whilst the Ice Hunters ascended upwards and pushed through the Blazing Bastion's crew and the final defense force of the Phoenix Temple.

Night had fallen over Chima as Gorzan, Worriz, Razar, Rogon and Bladvic had arrived at the Forever Rock and were being told by Eris that they all had to wear a Fire Wing Harness each and fly at supersonic speed into the heart of Mt. Cavora to trigger the Great Illumination. Rogon was confused and Worriz voiced his opposing thoughts on it, but Laval reminded them that if they don't trigger it, Chima stays frozen forever. He then grabs the Fire Wing Harness in Eris' hands and puts it on, triggering its icon to appear and its wings to activate, and he tells the others that he misses the Chima before the conflicts, and that he'd trigger the Great Illumination to bring it all back. Cragger put his Fire Wing Harness on again, telling them that he's follow Lagravis advice on Chi usage: "Use it well, use it wisely." With the Eris reminding them of what they were fighting for and Laval putting out an invitation out to their friends, everyone put on a Fire Wing Harness each, triggering their respective icons to appear and their wings to activate before they took off into the sky, with Worriz being the last one to do so, letting out a graceful howl as they made their way to Mt. Cavora.

LET THE SHATTER COLLECTOR DO THIS

And together they fly to Mt. Cavora at top speed to cause another Illumination only to be halted by the Vulture Tribe.

Meanwhile, Sir Fangar and most of the Ice Hunters make it into the Phoenix Temple and fight King Fluminox. However, Fluminox soon falls and entrusts Flinx to launch the Illumination. The others make it into the heart of Mount Cavora and Flinx jumped in and becomes the ninth phoenix. After the Illumination, the Ice Hunters are redeemed while Panther is restored to Tormak. The Phoenix leave Chima and ascend to the sun with their task complete. Chima becomes a paradise land once again completely void of evil and the eight heroes stand atop Mount Cavora with peace and balance restored to their home. When Cragger asks Laval what he sees from Mount Cavora, Laval states that he sees hope, joy, the power of nature, the world in balance, the spirit of their friendship, and the Legends of Chima.

The final scene of the episode shows that all of Chima is a floating island that is hovering above a massive, colourful landmass below. As the scene fades, Cragger asks how they are going to get down from Mount Cavora.

Notes[]

Errors & Goofs[]

  • The opening shows more Tiger Strikers than the three dropped off in the previous episode. It's possible that the Phoenix dropped off more as additional support after the last episode.

Continuity[]

  • While Laval and Cragger are flying in the Fire Helicroctor, Cragger states that he had been working on it since the Battle at the Eagle Spire.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike the other Season 3 episodes, this episode does not use the "Day of Glory" song for the intro. It instead it opens with the final parts of the "Ancient Hunters" theme.
  • During the scene in which Flinx became the Ninth Phoenix, there was much deleted footage that was cut from the final version of this episode. It can be viewed here.
  • Footage from the webisode "The Quest for the Fire Wings" is used when Laval, Cragger and Tormak are recounting the Fire Wing Harness locations and them finding them.
  • It is unknown why the Lion Legend Beast did not help the warriors fight the Ice Bears, though it is possible that it too would be overwhelmed.
    • It is also unknown what happened to the Legend Beasts after the successful Great Illumination.
  • The final shot reveals that Chima itself is actually a small floating island above a massive landmass below. Had the show continued, it's possible that it would've been explored. Thanks to recent events, Chima and the land below are now known collectively known as a Realm: The Wyldness. And thanks to the Merge combining all 16 Realms together, anything is possible...
