The Phoenix are a tribe of powerful fire birds who existed before most of the inhabitants of Chima. One of the first tribes in Chima, the Phoenix protected Chima from Sir Fangar's Ice Hunters after the Hunters became evil. They constructed many cities throughout Chima, which are now in ruins.[1]

Trivia[]
- During season 3, the Phoenix Tribe was the leader of the tribes allied with the Phoenix (or "Fire Tribes"), and its members had the symbol shown left on their vehicles and clothes.
- The Eagles have a book about the Phoenix Tribe which they considered completely ridiculous. However, Eris, Laval and Cragger climbed to the top of a frozen waterfall and met the Phoenix tribe, thus discrediting the notion that the book was completely false.
- According to Fluminox, the Phoenix are born from the sun and they return there, implying that the Phoenix do not reproduce. However, Flinx is stated to be a child, contradictorily implying that they are born young and grow from there.
- According to the Eagles book on the Phoenix, the Phoenix have "the gift of fire, immortality, and the power of healing".
- It is speculated that in the Great Story, the "Sky Opening Up" was the Great Illumination.
- It's unknown why the Phoenix Tribe did not fend off the Crawlers when they attacked Mount Cavora.
- All of the Phoenix have a harness for Fire Chi, however, it is overall useless since none of them plug Fire Chi.
