LEGO Legends of Chima Wiki
“There's no harm in a simple surrender, deary.”
— Maula to Sir Fangar, The Heart of Cavora

Maula is the queen of the Mammoth Tribe and first appeared in the Summer of 2014.

Biography[]

Maula is a force of nature, like a hurricane or a blizzard. You always know when she’s around because she is either yelling at her two sons or smothering them with affection. She is loud, loving, extremely strict, and can be cruel both to her children and her enemies. You never see Maula on her own, she always has one or both of her boys with her. She is extremely protective of Mottrot and Mungus and will react with frightening speed if either one of them is hurt. And no one wants to get in the way of an angry mother mammoth …[1]

History[]

Many years prior to the series, Maula became the queen of the Mammoth Tribe and later on the mother of two sons, Mottrot and Mungus, although she usually favored the latter. At some point, the Phoenix Tribe was sent by the Mother Sun, who felt pity for the early tribes, to try to educate them. However, Maula and the rest of her tribe would eventually side with Sir Fangar in his quest to rule Chima. When the Phoenix started the Great Illumination, which was imperfect due to Fluminox staying behind to take care of his infant son Flinx, Maula, her sons, and the rest of the Mammoths were frozen deep underground with the rest of the hunters, remaining in a dreamless sleep.

Fire Dreaming[]

Years after the Great Illumination, Maula was resurrected by Fangar using CHI thrown into the cavern by Scorm with the rest of the Ice Hunters. Later, she tries to awaken Mungus, but he requires more CHI orbs and forcibly takes Mottrot's orb to awaken him. After awakening Mungus, Maula and the rest of her tribe began to climb out of the cave into the area where the Crawlers were trapped in. The Crawlers tried to fight back, but they were all frozen and captured. After retrieving their vehicles, the Ice Hunters created a bridge out of the Gorge of Eternal Depth to the surface of Chima.

Trivia[]

  • In the TV Series, Maula has a stereotypical Southern Accent.
  • Her name is a play on the word 'maul'.
  • In episode 32, it was shown that Maula loved her sons more than the war they've been fighting, begging Laval to free Mungus after his foot got caught in ice.
