The Beta Test Phase is the phase that LEGO Legends of Chima Online is currently in.

Closed Beta

Closed Beta was a test phase from early 2013 until July 9, 2013 for only workers at The LEGO Group and their relatives.

On June 8, 2013, Gamestop's Facebook gave away 10,000 Chima Online Beta Codes. Users who claimed a code were able to play the game for a month. [1]

During Beta, players were able to send in some screenshots from their outposts. Some of the screenshots were posted on the Closed Beta News Blog.

Open Beta

Open Beta is the test phase which was scheduled to start on August 1, 2013, but was postponed several times. The Open Beta was delayed because the development team didn't reach the requirements to start it up. Finally, open beta started on August 6, 2013. During Open Beta, people who played will keep their progress forever. [2]

The Open Beta stage features Membership and Gold Bricks pages, that allow the player to buy. Currently only players from North America can play the game. Other players are getting a message that their area is not supported. In the future, players from these countries: UK, Germany, Denmark, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria and Australia[3][4] will be able to play. It's currently unknown how players from other countries not mentioned above will be able to play this beta stage.
